This research explores the role of the third sector in commissioned employment services. Already we know that the new Work Programme will involve TSOs who have traditionally worked in a range of sub-sectors. This research explores in more detail the role of the sector in the Work Programme, how subcontractors are experiencing it to date, and to ask what, if anything, is distinctive about the approaches to delivery that subcontractors adopt.
